Location: Burnley, Lancashire

Are you passionate about shaping young minds and fostering a love for history? We're seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated History Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school on a permanent basis starting this September!

Role Overview:

As a History Teacher, you will inspire students through dynamic and engaging lessons, bringing history to life and instilling a deep appreciation for the past. You will teach across Key Stages 3 & 4 and contribute to the development of our history curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities.
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to facilitate growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the history curriculum and participate in departmental meetings and activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in History or related field (PGCE or QTS preferred).
  • Proven experience teaching history at the secondary level, with a track record of student success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for history education.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on educational best practices.
