A well-respected secondary school in Bicester, Oxfordshire, rated GOOD by Ofsted, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Head of PE to join their vibrant team. The school is committed to providing an inclusive and inspiring environment where students are encouraged to reach their full potential, both academically and personally.

The Head of PE will lead the Physical Education department, fostering a culture of excellence in sport and physical education. This role requires a passionate educator who can inspire students, promote healthy lifestyles, and maintain high standards of teaching and learning within the department.

Key Responsibilities
*Lead and manage the PE department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
*Develop and implement a comprehensive PE curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
*Organize and oversee extracurricular sports activities and events.
*Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure continuous improvement.
*Collaborate with other departments to promote cross-curricular initiatives.
*Maintain and manage sports facilities and equipment.
*Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
*Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all PE activities.

Requirements
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Physical Education or a related field.
*Proven experience in teaching PE at the secondary school level.
*Demonstrated leadership experience, ideally in a similar role.
*Strong organizational and communication skills.
*A passion for physical education and a commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles.
*Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
*Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
*Up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum and current educational trends in PE.
*Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
