A well-respected secondary school in Bicester, Oxfordshire, rated GOOD by Ofsted, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Head of PE to join their vibrant team. The Head of PE will lead the Physical Education department, fostering a culture of excellence in sport and physical education. This role requires a passionate educator who can inspire students, promote healthy lifestyles, and maintain high standards of teaching and learning within the department.

Key Responsibilities
*Lead and manage the PE department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
*Develop and implement a comprehensive PE curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
*Organize and oversee extracurricular sports activities and events.
*Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure continuous improvement.
*Collaborate with other departments to promote cross-curricular initiatives.
*Maintain and manage sports facilities and equipment.
*Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
*Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all PE activities.

Requirements
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Physical Education or a related field.
*Proven experience in teaching PE at the secondary school level.
*Demonstrated leadership experience, ideally in a similar role.
*Strong organizational and communication skills.
*A passion for physical education and a commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles.
*Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
*Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
*Up-to-date knowledge of the national curriculum and current educational trends in PE.
*Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
