Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant in the Bolton/Wigan area to support students in a specialised educational needs school catering to students with Autism and complex learning difficulties. The successful candidate will work 1:1 and in small groups in the classroom under the guidance of the teacher and healthcare professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and nurses, providing essential support to help students achieve their Educational Healthcare Plan goals.

  • Support students with Autism and complex learning difficulties in their academic and social development.
  • Assist in implementing personalised learning plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living and personal care, as required.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment and find dynamic ways to keep students engaged with activities both inside and outside the classroom.
