Position: EYFS Teaching Assistant

Location: Glossop

Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities for children in the EYFS phase.
  • Assist in the implementation of the EYFS curriculum, ensuring that all children receive a well-rounded education that meets their individual needs.
  • Provide one-on-one support to children who may require additional help with their learning or development.
  • Foster a nurturing and supportive environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to explore and learn.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to promote positive relationships and ensure the holistic development of each child.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • A genuine passion for early years education and a commitment to supporting children's development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents.
  • Relevant qualifications or willingness to undertake training in early years education (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education).
  • An enthusiastic and positive attitude, with a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school community.
