Job Title: Engineering Trainer/Assessor

Salary: £28,000 - £39,000 per annum (pro rata if part time)

Location: Cambridge

Contract: Full time, permanent

 

Teaching Personnel Permanent Workforce team are proud to be approved providers for a leading College in the Cambridge area, who are actively recruiting for an Engineering Trainer/Assessor to join their growing team in September 2024. We are looing for a dynamic individual who's eager to embark on an exciting journey with us. As an Assessor/Trainer in our Engineering department, you'll play a pivotal role in nurturing apprentices' skills and guiding them towards success.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Agree and design training programmes in the appropriate area, providing support to students to achieve their qualification within agreed timescales.
  • Provide information, advice and guidance to students and employers throughout the apprenticeship.
  • Plan and prepare students for assessment, gateway, and end point assessment.
  • Plan and deliver training sessions on employer premises as required to develop the apprentices knowledge, skills and behaviours.
  • Organise and plan assessment opportunities with students and employers.
  • Carry out assessment activities in the required locations. Plan, record and schedule assessments, gateway progress and end point assessment.
  • Ensure fair access to equality of opportunity in assessment for all students.

 

Requirements: 

  • A relevant Assessors award is essential for this role, A1/V1/TAQA or equivalent.
  • Prior experience Assessing in Engineering disciplines, whether on site or within Education.
  • A relevant qualification (minimum NVQ Level 3) within any Engineering discipline i.e, Mechanical, Engineering or Civil
  • Relevant & recent IQA experience within any Engineering discipline
  • Minimum Level 3 IQA Qualification (not essential, but will effect salary)
