Are you passionate about nurturing young minds and creating a supportive learning environment? We're looking for a dynamic Early Years Teacher to start a brand new role in September 2024, located in the heart of Islington.

About the school: We are a two form primary school in the heart of Holloway in Islington, North London and serve our diverse community with pride and passion. As a school we ensure that the whole of the curriculum is taught and where we need to, we adapt that curriculum for those who need it. We do have a big focus on a creative approach to learning and all children over the course of the year will have the opportunity to study at least one topic area through a creative approach.

About the Role: As an Early Years Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of our youngest learners. You will design and deliver engaging lessons that promote holistic development across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. Your creativity, passion, and dedication will inspire curiosity and instill a love for learning in our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic lessons in line with the EYFS framework
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and supported
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to track progress and tailor teaching strategies to meet individual needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure a holistic approach to child development
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and the wider school community

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with early years children, preferably in a primary school setting
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and principles of child development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice
