Teaching Personnel are looking for a Geography teacher at the request of one of our secondary schools in the Cardiff area.

 

The successful candidate will hold a degree in Geography or a related field and will ideally hold QTS or relevant teaching qualification. They will have a strong knowledge of a good range of geographical concepts and will ideally have experience of teaching within a secondary school.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic geography lessons that cover a range of topics, including physical geography, human geography, and environmental issues.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students and promote active learning, including fieldwork, maps, data analysis, and multimedia materials.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, explore different perspectives, and develop their own understanding of geographical concepts.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students, providing support and extension activities as needed.
  • Assess students' understanding and progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
