Are you interested in a role where you can support Surreys most vulnerable children and teenagers?

One of our trauma-informed Surrey provisions are seeking full-time Teaching Assistants to join their passionate and motivated team! They provide both pastoral support and alternative education that is personalised to each individual student to give them the best chances of a successful future beyond school.

Many of these students will have experienced trauma and will display challenging behaviour so they need support managing their emotions.

Your role will involve assisting 1:1 or with groups of learners to support academic projects in the classroom, provide social support around their peers and guiding them in times when they are unsure how to regulate difficult emotions.

Although this role involves Teaching Assistant responsibilities, you will be predominantly focused on mentoring their behaviour throughout the school day.

Experience in schools is not essential and we welcome candidates from healthcare and support work backgrounds, and any other volunteering work with transferrable skills.

If you are looking for opportunities likes this, please get in touch with us to share your application!

You can email your CV directly to ThamesValleySEN@teachingpersonnel.com
