We are currently seeking a compassionate ASC Teaching Assistant to join our team at a highly respected secondary school in Wilmslow. With an Ofsted rating of 'Good', the school is committed to providing inclusive education and support to all students.
Role Overview:
As an ASC Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with Autism Spectrum Condition, ensuring they receive the assistance they need to thrive academically and socially. Your responsibilities will include:
Individualized Support: Providing one-to-one support to ASC students, assisting them with their learning activities and helping them to develop social skills, communication, and independence.
Implementing Support Strategies: Collaborating with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans for ASC students, ensuring interventions are tailored to their specific needs and reviewed regularly for effectiveness.
Assisting in the Classroom: Supporting classroom teachers in delivering lessons and adapting teaching materials to accommodate the diverse needs of ASC students, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Behaviour Management: Implementing positive behavior management strategies and techniques to support ASC students in managing their emotions and behaviors, promoting self-regulation and positive social interactions.
Building Relationships: Developing strong rapport with ASC students, parents, and colleagues, maintaining open communication channels to ensure the holistic support needs of students are met both within and outside the classroom.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
