Requirements:
Essential:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
*A degree in Art, Design, or a related field
*Proven experience of teaching Art and Design at secondary level, including GCSE
*A thorough understanding of the latest curriculum and teaching methods for Art and Design
*Demonstrable ability to plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a wide range of abilities and needs
*Strong classroom management skills with a patient and flexible approach
*A commitment to inclusive education and the ability to inspire students with diverse learning needs

Desirable:
*Experience teaching in an SEN setting or demonstrated understanding of SEN strategies and approaches
*Further qualifications or training in special education or Art and Design
*Evidence of ongoing professional development in education or a related creative field
*Skills or experience in digital art and design technologies

Responsibilities:
*Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and effective Art and Design lessons that meet the needs and interests of all students
*Assessing and recording students’ progress, preparing them for examinations and qualifications as appropriate
*Contributing to the development of the Art and Design curriculum and extra-curricular activities
*Maintaining a safe, orderly, and supportive classroom environment
*Collaborating with colleagues and participating in professional development opportunities
*Engaging with parents, carers, and other professionals to support the holistic development of the students
