Salary: £83 - £110 per day

Teaching Personnel are working alongside an outstanding mainstream school in and around the Birmingham area with the need of a Teaching Assistant to support SEN children. This could include a specific SEN provision within the school or supporting children in small groups or on a 1 to 1 basis.

The school are looking to employ strong minded individuals who are confident with behaviour management and who are willing to have a flexible outlook in their approach, to support children's EHC plans and to try and push the students to their personal best as well as building trusted relationships.

The ideal Candidate:

  • Relevant experience supporting pupils with SEN or similar special educational needs (not specifically school background can be care/support work).
  • Knowledge of autism and associated complex learning needs.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An individual who is patient in dealing with trying circumstances or emotional behaviour
  • Accepting of other's lifestyles and understanding of SEND
  • Remaining calm in stressful situations
  • Flexibility dealing with behaviour that may present challenges.
