Youth Support Worker
Location: Caerphilly
Hours: Part-Time | Term Time Only | Monday-Friday, 08:30 - 15:15
Pay: £120 per day
Start Date: 1st of June

Are you confident, energetic, and naturally take charge?
Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where no two days are the same?

We're looking for strong role models who lead from the front - individuals who bring presence, structure, and positivity into the classroom. Whether your background is in sports coaching, youth work, or team leadership, this is your opportunity to make a genuine difference in young people's lives.

You'll be working in a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Caerphilly. The school has a strong sense of community, a supportive staff team, and a shared focus on creating a positive, structured environment where students can thrive.

As a Youth Support Worker, you'll play a key role in maintaining a focused and engaging learning environment. You'll combine leadership, mentoring, and classroom management to support students both academically and personally.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons with confidence and energy
  • Maintain a calm, structured, and focused classroom environment
  • Support and motivate students who need additional guidance or encouragement
  • Work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral teams
  • Lead by example, promoting respect, resilience, and teamwork

You don't need to be a qualified teacher - but you do need the right mindset.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Confident, assertive, and able to command attention
  • A natural leader who builds respect through consistency
  • Calm under pressure and quick to think on their feet
  • Energetic, adaptable, and resilient
  • Experienced in (or keen to develop in) sports coaching, youth work, or behaviour support
  • DBS checked (or willing to apply)

If you've led teams, coached sports, or worked with young people in any capacity, you already have the foundation to succeed here.

  • Work in supportive and welcoming schools across Caerphilly
  • Enjoy a healthy work-life balance with term-time hours only
  • Build a pathway into careers such as:
    • Teaching or SEN Support
