Supply Desk is working in partnership with a friendly and well-regarded primary school in Downley, seeking a committed and motivated Year 6 Teacher to join their team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a pivotal Upper KS2 role and support pupils through an important stage of their academic journey.

About the Role

As a Year 6 Teacher, you will play a vital role in preparing pupils for SATs and the transition to secondary school, while creating a positive and engaging learning environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking full responsibility for a Year 6 class
  • Delivering high-quality and engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum
  • Preparing pupils for SATs, including targeted interventions
  • Planning, assessing, and adapting learning to meet individual needs
  • Promoting resilience, independence, and high expectations
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to support strong outcomes

What We’re Looking For

You will ideally:

  • Hold QTS or PGCE (unqualified teachers also welcome to apply)
  • Have experience teaching KS2, ideally Year 6
  • Be confident in delivering SATs-focused teaching and interventions
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour and classroom management
  • Be organised, proactive, and committed to pupil progress
  • Be enthusiastic, reflective, and keen to contribute to school life
