We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a supportive and welcoming primary school in the London Borough of Havering, for an experienced and confident Year 6 Class Teacher to join their team immediately after the Easter holidays for the remainder of the Summer Term 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who thrives in Upper Key Stage 2, supporting pupils through their final term in primary school and preparing them for the transition to secondary education.

The role:
You will take responsibility for a Year 6 class, delivering engaging and focused lessons across the curriculum. The role will involve supporting pupils in the lead-up to and following SATs, ensuring strong progress, maintaining high standards, and creating a positive and structured learning environment.

The school is looking for someone who:

  • Has proven experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
  • Has experience preparing pupils for SATs (highly advantageous)
  • Can deliver clear, engaging lessons in English, Maths, and the wider curriculum
  • Maintains high expectations for behaviour and achievement
  • Is resilient, adaptable, and confident managing a Year 6 classroom
  • Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to the school community
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

In return, the school offers:

  • An immediate start after Easter for the Summer Term
  • A supportive and experienced staff team
  • A well-structured and positive school environment
  • A rewarding opportunity to make a real impact in pupils’ final term of primary school

How to apply:
Please submit your CV directly to Phoebe Bone to be considered for this opportunity. Interviews will be arranged immediately, so early applications are strongly encouraged.
