Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking a passionate Year 5 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school, where you'll play a key role in inspiring pupils and supporting their academic, personal, and social development as they prepare for the transition to secondary school.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and inclusive lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Key Stage 2.
• Create a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
• Deliver a broad and balanced curriculum, supporting pupils in developing their literacy, numeracy, and wider academic skills.
• Teach and support pupils with reading, writing, spelling, grammar, mathematics, and problem-solving skills.
• Assess, monitor, and record pupils' progress, using assessment data to inform planning and provide targeted support where required.
• Prepare pupils for the increased academic expectations of Year 5 and support their continued development across the curriculum.
• Promote positive behaviour and high expectations in line with the school's behaviour policy.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, parents, and the wider school team to support pupils' progress and wellbeing.
• Encourage pupils to develop independence, resilience, confidence, and effective learning habits.
• Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.

Requirements

•Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and the expectations for Key Stage 2 pupils.
• A passion for inspiring and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
