Academics are currently supporting a primary school (located in Newcastle-under-Lyme) that is looking for an experienced Year 5 Teacher.

The role is covering a staff absence from Tuesday 5th May 2026 - Friday 17th July 2026.

To be considered for this particular teaching role you MUST:

  • Have UK Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) and excellent knowledge of the upper KS2 curriculum.
  • Be able to hold full class responsibilities and to be able to plan and deliver engaging lesson.
  • Have strong behaviour management skills.
  • Promote happiness, self-reliance and to be able to encourage and motivate positive interactions.
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS that is registered with the Update Service, or you will be prepared to apply for a new DBS with ourselves (cost applied).
