Academics, an established Education Agency, are acting as an agency and are looking for a Year 5 and Year 6 Teacher to work on a temporary, ongoing supply basis across a selection of primary schools throughout Doncaster.

This Year 5 and Year 6 Teacher role offers the opportunity to work with Upper Key Stage 2 pupils across different Doncaster schools. It could suit an experienced teacher looking for flexibility, a teacher seeking a longer-term placement, or someone looking to gain experience across a range of school settings.

Position: Year 5 and Year 6 Teacher

Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply

Pay: £130 - £190 per day (dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)

About the Role

Working as a Year 5 and Year 6 Teacher in Doncaster, you will support pupils through an important stage of their primary education, helping them build confidence and prepare for the transition into secondary school.

The Year 5 and Year 6 Teacher role will involve delivering engaging lessons across the Upper Key Stage 2 curriculum, assessing pupil progress and maintaining a positive classroom environment. Opportunities may include day-to-day supply, longer-term cover and temporary ongoing placements across Doncaster.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach engaging lessons across the Year 5 and Year 6 curriculum
• Plan and deliver lessons that meet pupils' individual learning needs
• Assess and monitor pupil progress
• Prepare pupils for the transition to secondary education
• Maintain effective classroom management
• Work alongside teaching assistants and other school professionals
• Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Previous experience teaching Year 5 and/or Year 6
• Strong understanding of the Upper Key Stage 2 curriculum
• Confident classroom management skills
• Ability to adapt teaching to support different abilities
• Enhanced DBS Certificate or willingness to obtain one
