Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a large Trust for a Year 4 Primary Teacher to work in a welcoming mainstream primary school in Exeter.
This permanent, full-time role is ideal for a qualified teacher who enjoys working with Key Stage 2 pupils, without the added responsibility of lesson planning or preparation. You will focus on delivering pre-set lessons, supporting pupils’ learning, and maintaining a positive classroom environment.
Role: Year 4 Primary Teacher
Salary: £3,200 – £3,600 per month
Start date: 8th June
Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm
Contract: Permanent, part time, term time only
• Delivering pre-planned lessons to a Year 4 class
• Supporting pupils through whole-class teaching, as well as 1:1 or small-group support
• Adapting delivery to meet pupils’ abilities and needs
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive, engaging learning environment
• Supervising pupils during transitions, break times, and other parts of the school day
• Encouraging participation, confidence, and inclusion in all activities
• Working closely with teaching assistants and school staff to ensure consistency
• Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) (essential)
• Have experience or confidence teaching Key Stage 2 (Year 4 preferred)
• Are calm, flexible, and adaptable
• Have strong communication and classroom management skills
• Are passionate about supporting pupils’ progress and wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
