About the Role
Are you a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 4 & Year 5 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school. This is a varied full-time role, teaching one day per week in Year 4, one day per week in Year 5, and providing PPA cover across the school for the remaining three days, offering an exciting opportunity to work with a range of pupils and year groups.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons for Year 4 and Year 5 in line with the National Curriculum.
• Provide high-quality PPA cover across the school, ensuring continuity of learning in different classes.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where all pupils can achieve their full potential.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to support learning, wellbeing, and personal development.
• Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, providing effective feedback to support achievement.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure consistency in planning, teaching, and assessment.
• Promote positive behaviour and maintain high expectations for learning and conduct throughout the school.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and participate in staff meetings, training, and school events.
• Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
Requirements
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective assessment practices.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to quickly establish positive learning environments across different classes.
• A flexible, adaptable, and organised approach to teaching across multiple year groups.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and achieving the best outcomes for all pupils.
• A passion for inspiring and motivating children to reach their full potential.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
