A lovely and welcoming primary school in Wimbledon is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive school community where staff are valued, pupils are eager to learn, and teamwork is at the heart of school life.

As a Year 3 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils as they transition into Key Stage 2. You will help deliver targeted interventions, provide classroom support, and encourage children to develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

  • Supporting teaching and learning within a Year 3 classroom
  • Working with small groups and individual pupils to boost progress
  • Assisting with reading, writing, and maths interventions
  • Supporting children with varying learning needs
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom engagement
  • Helping to prepare resources and maintain an organised learning environment
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school
  • Confidence supporting KS2 pupils
  • A positive, patient, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire young learners
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing
