Salary: From £140 per day, increasing to AWR rate after 12 working weeks

A welcoming 1.5-form entry primary school in Horwich is looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Year 3 Class Teacher from January 2027.

The school would ideally like to appoint a fully qualified teacher, although they are also open to considering ECTs with strong experience or a particular interest in teaching Year 3.

  • Full-time Year 3 class teacher
  • January 2027 start
  • One-year contract
  • Teaching and planning for a Year 3 class
  • Working as part of a supportive and collaborative school team
  • Creating an engaging, inclusive and positive learning environment
  • Supporting the academic and personal development of all pupils

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold QTS or be an ECT working towards qualification
  • Have experience teaching in KS2, ideally Year 3
  • Be confident with planning, teaching and assessment
  • Have high expectations of pupil progress and behaviour
  • Be enthusiastic, organised and committed to creating a positive classroom environment
  • Work well as part of a team

ECTs with relevant Year 3 experience are encouraged to apply.
