About the Role

The school is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a Year 2 classroom. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact during a key stage in children's development as they continue to build confidence, independence, and core academic skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting teaching and learning within a Year 2 classroom
  • Working with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning objectives
  • Assisting with reading, writing, maths, and intervention activities
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
  • Helping to create a welcoming, organised, and stimulating learning environment
  • Supporting pupils with varying abilities, including those with additional learning needs
  • Working closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to promote pupil progress

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A positive, patient, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for working with primary-aged children

  • Confidence supporting pupils within Key Stage 1
