Exciting Opportunity: Year 1 Teacher Wanted!

Are you passionate about guiding young learners through their crucial early years of primary education? We're seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join our inclusive and supportive team at one of our closes primary schools in the vibrant community of Islington.

Position: Year 1 Teacher

About the Role: As a Year 1 Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in laying the foundation for academic success and lifelong learning. You will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students, fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom culture where every child feels valued and empowered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Utilize a range of teaching strategies and resources to support the development of literacy, numeracy, and key skills
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to track progress and identify areas for intervention and extension
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a collaborative learning community
  • Create a stimulating learning environment that promotes curiosity, creativity, and independent learning

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably in a primary school setting
  • Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
