Academics, an established Education Agency, are acting as an agency and are recruiting a Year 1 & Year 2 Teacher to work on a temporary, ongoing supply basis across a range of welcoming primary schools throughout Rotherham.

This Year 1 and Year 2 Teacher opportunity offers the chance to teach within Key Stage 1 while enjoying the flexibility of supply teaching. Working as a Year 1 & Year 2 Teacher in Rotherham allows you to gain experience across different schools whilst maintaining an excellent work-life balance.

Position: Year 1 and Year 2 Teacher

Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire

Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply

Pay: £130 - £190 per day (paid via PAYE, no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay, dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available)

Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you

About the Role

Working as a Year 1 and Year 2 Teacher in Rotherham, you will deliver engaging lessons that help pupils develop key literacy, numeracy and social skills whilst creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

The Year 1 and Year 2 Teacher role in Rotherham is suitable for experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers seeking day-to-day, short-term or long-term supply opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons across Year 1 and Year 2
• Differentiate learning to support individual pupil needs
• Create a positive classroom environment
• Assess and monitor pupil progress
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff
• Follow safeguarding procedures at all times

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1
• Strong classroom management skills
• Positive and adaptable approach
• Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
