Salary: £83.34 - £83.34 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Supporting the lead teacher in delivering lessons in Welsh-medium in KS1 classroom
  • Assisting with the preparation of teaching materials and resources
  • Providing one-on-one support to students who require additional help with the Welsh language
  • Supervising students during class and break times
  • Assisting with classroom management and discipline

Required Qualifications:

  • Fluency in the Welsh language
  • Previous experience working in an educational setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications
  • Additional qualifications in education or childcare are desirable

Experience:

  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Experience in a teaching assistant role is advantageous

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of the Welsh education system
  • Ability to support students with their learning in Welsh
  • Organisational skills and the ability to multitask

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with regular school hours
  • Work may involve standing for extended periods and some physical activity
  • Temporary position with the possibility of extension

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
