We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated History Instructor to join an alternative provision in Paignton, Devon. As an Unqualified History Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging history lessons to students, helping them develop a passion for the subject and achieve their academic goals.

  • Assess and evaluate students' progress
  • Provide support and guidance to students to help them excel in history
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience
  • History degree
  • Passion for teaching and inspiring students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • History degree
  • Teaching qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience working with students in an educational setting
  • Experience delivering engaging lessons
  • Excellent knowledge of history subject matter
  • Effective classroom management skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of individual students - you will be working with students with social and emotional mental health/ challenging backgrounds/ ADHD/ ASC
  • Teaching qualification
  • Previous experience in a teaching role

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
