  • Encourage positive behaviour, motivation, independence and active participation.
  • Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate records of learning outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, carers, schools and other professionals.
  • Follow safeguarding policies and child protection procedures at all times.

  • Excellent communication, lesson planning and organisational skills.
  • Confidence in engaging pupils and managing behaviour positively.
  • Reliable transport or suitable travel arrangements for assignments across Kettering and surrounding areas.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

QTS, PGCE or another recognised teaching qualification is desirable but not essential.

Experience That Will Make You Stand Out

Experience supporting pupils with autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, speech and language needs, EHCPs or emotional and behavioural challenges is an advantage.

We also welcome tutors who have worked with pupils experiencing disrupted education, struggling in mainstream classrooms or requiring additional one-to-one support.
