Make a Difference Through Individualised Learning

TP Tutors is seeking passionate and reliable tutors to support children and young people across Corby and neighbouring areas through tailored one-to-one tuition.

You will work with pupils who require additional educational support, whether they are catching up with schoolwork, preparing for exams, developing core skills, or accessing specialist learning provision. Tuition may be delivered at the pupil's home, within schools, or in alternative education settings during the school day.

This is an excellent opportunity for qualified teachers, experienced tutors, and SEND practitioners who want to help learners overcome barriers and reach their full potential.

Your Role

You will create a positive learning experience by delivering personalised lessons that reflect each pupil's abilities, educational targets, and individual circumstances.

Support may include:

  • Primary and secondary curriculum learning.
  • GCSE preparation and Functional Skills qualifications.
  • Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Supporting pupils in line with their EHCP targets.
  • Alternative Provision and successful reintegration into education.
  • Improving literacy, numeracy, and general academic performance.

Subjects Available

We are interested in tutors who can teach one or more of the following: English, Maths, Science, Primary Curriculum, GCSE subjects, Functional Skills, Humanities, Modern Foreign Languages, Computing, Creative Arts, Literacy, and Numeracy.

Key Duties

  • Deliver tailored one-to-one sessions based on each learner's needs.
  • Prepare lesson plans, activities, and resources to support learning objectives.
  • Assess progress and maintain accurate records of pupil development.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to suit individual abilities and learning styles.
  • Encourage engagement, motivation, and positive learning habits.
  • Help pupils develop confidence, independence, and essential academic skills.
  • Work collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals.
  • Maintain safeguarding standards and provide a safe, supportive environment.

What We're Looking For

  • A minimum of two years' teaching or tutoring experience within the UK.
  • Experience supporting primary, secondary, GCSE, Functional Skills, or SEND learners.
  • Effective communication, planning, assessment, and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to travel reliably to assignments across Corby and nearby locations.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.

QTS, a PGCE, or another recognised teaching qualification would be beneficial but is not essential.

Desirable Skills and Experience

Experience working with children and young people with autism (ASC), ADHD, dyslexia, social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), speech, language and communication needs (SLCN), EHCPs, or within Alternative Provision is an advantage.

Why Work with TP Tutors?

  • Competitive weekly pay rates.
  • Flexible placements to suit your availability.
  • Guidance and support from a dedicated consultant.
  • Access to CPD and further professional development.
  • Opportunities to work across different educational environments.
  • A rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference to pupils' lives.

Working Arrangements

Assignments are available across Corby and surrounding areas. Tutors must be able to travel to home-based, school-based, and alternative provision sessions during school hours, Monday to Friday.

If you are committed to helping young people overcome learning challenges and achieve their educational goals, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Apply today and help learners across Corby develop the confidence, skills, and knowledge to succeed with TP Tutors.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Plea
