Tuition sessions may be delivered at pupils' homes, schools, or alternative education settings during school hours.

This role offers a rewarding opportunity for experienced tutors, teachers, and SEND practitioners who want to help young people make meaningful progress.

  • Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) support
  • Alternative Provision and learners with gaps in education
  • Core literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum subjects

  • Communicate professionally with families, schools, and other relevant professionals.
  • Follow safeguarding requirements and promote pupil wellbeing.

Essential Requirements

  • At least 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience in the UK.
  • Experience supporting Primary, Secondary, GCSE, Functional Skills, or SEND learners.
  • Strong communication, lesson planning, assessment, and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to travel reliably throughout Corby and surrounding areas.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

A QTS, PGCE, or other recognised teaching qualification is desirable but not essential.

Desirable Skills and Experience

Experience working with learners with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Dyslexia, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), EHCPs, or within Alternative Provision would be advantageous.
