1:1 Tutor – Pupil Home or School Setting
Location: DE23, Derby
During School Hours | Part-Time | 1:1 Tuition

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced 1:1 Tutor to provide tailored educational support to a pupil in the DE23 area of Derby.

The tutoring will take place either at the pupil’s home or within a school setting, during normal school hours. The successful tutor will work closely with the pupil to support their learning, confidence, engagement, and academic progress.

• Provide 1:1 tuition and educational support tailored to the pupil’s individual needs.
• Deliver engaging and structured lessons during school hours.
• Support the pupil with their academic development and learning objectives.
• Build a positive, professional relationship with the pupil.
• Adapt teaching methods and resources to suit the pupil’s learning style.
• Monitor progress and provide appropriate feedback.
• Liaise professionally with parents/carers and relevant education staff where required.

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational or tutoring capacity.
• Strong communication and classroom/behaviour-management skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs.
• Patient, supportive, and engaging approach.
• Relevant teaching, tutoring, education, or subject-specific experience is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is preferred.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Reliable and able to commit to regular sessions during school hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
