About the Role

We are looking for dedicated and experienced 1:1 Tutors to provide personalised educational support to pupils in Banbury and surrounding areas.

The successful candidate will deliver one-to-one tuition either in the pupil’s home or within a school setting, primarily during normal school hours. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or tutor who is passionate about helping pupils make progress, build confidence and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition based on each pupil’s individual needs.
• Support pupils with academic progress, confidence and engagement with learning.
• Plan and prepare appropriate lessons and learning activities.
• Adapt teaching strategies to suit individual learning needs and abilities.
• Build positive and professional relationships with pupils.
• Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback where required.
• Liaise professionally with parents, carers, schools and the wider education team.
• Maintain a positive, supportive and safe learning environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ UK teaching experience.
• Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
• Experience delivering 1:1 tuition is desirable.
• Relevant teaching qualification or strong teaching experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual pupil needs.
• Reliable, patient and committed to supporting pupils’ educational development.
• Enhanced DBS check required, or willingness to obtain one.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
