  • Supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, EHCPs and additional learning needs.
  • Planning creative, engaging and differentiated lessons.
  • Developing pupils' confidence, motivation, independence and engagement with learning.
  • Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate session records.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers, schools, Local Authorities and other professionals.
  • Providing a safe, consistent and encouraging environment for learning.

What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from teachers and experienced tutors who are passionate about education and confident delivering effective 1:1 support.

You should have:

  • A minimum of 2 years' UK teaching or tutoring experience.
  • Experience delivering the UK National Curriculum.
  • Experience supporting Primary, Secondary, GCSE, SEND or SEMH learners.
  • QTS or another recognised teaching qualification is desirable, although experienced tutors without QTS are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and behaviour-management skills.
  • Patience, adaptability and a positive approach to supporting young people.
  • The ability to build trust and establish effective professional relationships.

Safeguarding & Compliance

Successful applicants will need to:

  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Complete all required safeguarding, identity and compliance checks.

Why Join TP Tutors?

We offer flexible opportunities designed to fit around your availability, alongside ongoing support from a dedicated consultant.

You'll receive:

  • Flexible daytime tuition assignments during school hours.
  • Competitive hourly rates based on the assignment and Local Authority.
  • Dedicated consultant support throughout your placement.
  • Access to CPD and specialist SEND development opportunities.
  • A range of 1:1 opportunities across different age groups, subjects and learning needs.
  • The opportunity to make a genuine difference to pupils who benefit from personalised education.
