TP Tutors is recruiting experienced and enthusiastic Primary, Secondary, GCSE & SEND 1:1 Tutors to provide personalised tuition and learning support to pupils throughout Kettering and nearby areas.

The role is focused on helping children and young people who may be outside of mainstream education, require additional intervention, or have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) requirements.

  • Deliver structured, engaging 1:1 lessons across Primary, Secondary and GCSE subjects in accordance with the UK National Curriculum.
  • Design and modify individual learning programmes to reflect each pupil's abilities, needs, interests, and learning preferences.
  • Provide appropriate educational support for learners with SEND, SEMH needs, EHCPs, and those requiring targeted intervention.
  • Introduce creative and inclusive teaching methods that encourage confidence, participation, resilience, and independence.
  • Assess and record academic and personal development, completing detailed reports after each session.
  • Communicate and collaborate with schools, Local Authorities, families, and relevant professionals to support learner progress.
  • Maintain a positive, safe, and supportive environment where pupils feel comfortable learning and developing.

Qualifications: QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification is desirable but not essential.

Experience: A minimum of two years' UK teaching or tutoring experience delivering the UK National Curriculum is essential. Experience supporting Primary, Secondary, GCSE, or SEND pupils is strongly preferred.

Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, confident behaviour management, patience, flexibility, and the ability to develop trusted relationships with children and young people.

Compliance: An Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one, plus the legal right to work in the UK.
