Looking for flexible education work where your time and experience can have a real impact?

TP Tutors is recruiting experienced Teachers, Tutors and SEND Educators to provide tailored one-to-one tuition to children and young people across Kettering and surrounding areas.

You'll work with learners who may need additional academic support, confidence building, exam preparation, or specialist SEND tuition. Sessions can take place in homes, schools and alternative education settings, giving you the opportunity to create a learning environment that works for each individual pupil.

Every learner has different needs. Your role will be to understand those needs and deliver tuition that helps them move forward.

You may be supporting pupils with:

  • Primary and Secondary curriculum
  • GCSE preparation and subject support
  • Functional Skills
  • Literacy and Numeracy
  • SEND and additional learning needs
  • Alternative Provision
  • Education gaps and re-engagement

You'll plan purposeful sessions, adapt your teaching style, monitor progress and provide useful feedback after each lesson.

Most importantly, you'll help learners develop confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards education.

We're interested in tutors who can offer one or more of:

English • Maths • Science • Literacy • Numeracy • Functional Skills • Primary • GCSE Subjects • Humanities • MFL • Computing • Creative Arts • Other National Curriculum Subjects

You could be a qualified teacher, experienced tutor, teaching professional or SEND specialist.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • 2+ years' UK teaching or tutoring experience
  • Experience with Primary, Secondary, GCSE, Functional Skills or SEND learners
  • Strong communication and lesson-planning skills
  • The ability to adapt quickly to individual learning needs
  • A positive and patient approach to behaviour and engagement
  • Reliable transport or travel arrangements across Kettering
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

QTS, PGCE or another recognised teaching qualification is desirable, but not essential.

Experience supporting learners with ASC, ADHD, SEMH, Dyslexia or SLCN would be particularly valuable.

We also welcome tutors with experience of EHCPs, Alternative Provision, home tuition or learners who have experienced disrupted education.

We make flexible tutoring work simple, supported and worthwhile.

You'll receive:

Competitive weekly pay
Flexible tuition assignments
Dedicated consultant support
Weekly payroll
Free CPD and specialist training
Access to varied opportunities across Kettering
The chance to make a genuine difference

Assignments are available across Kettering and nearby communities, with tuition generally delivered during Monday-Friday school hours.

You'll need to travel reliably to the learner's home, school or allocated education setting.
