Hours: Monday–Friday, school hours (term time only)
Contract: Flexible – Part-time / Full-time opportunities available

We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and experienced 1:1 Tutors to provide personalised educational support to children and young people across Northampton and the surrounding areas. Tuition will take place in pupils' homes or school settings during school hours.

This is an ideal opportunity for experienced teachers and tutors who are passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential through tailored one-to-one support.

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality 1:1 tuition tailored to each pupil's learning needs.
  • Plan and prepare lessons that support academic progress and build confidence.
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress after each session.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and schools.
  • Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and professional standards at all times.
  • A minimum of 2 years' teaching or tutoring experience.
  • Experience working with children and young people in educational settings.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable but not essential for experienced tutors.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred due to travel between pupil locations.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
