Are you an experienced teacher or tutor looking to make a meaningful difference to learners of all ages?

TP Tutors, part of Teaching Personnel, is seeking dedicated 1:1 Tutors to provide personalised tuition to children, young people, and adult learners across Banbury.

We are looking for tutors with experience teaching Primary, Secondary, GCSE, Functional Skills, and SEND learners. Tuition takes place in learners' homes or school settings during school hours, depending on the learner's individual needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver tailored one-to-one support that helps learners build confidence, overcome barriers to learning, develop key skills, and achieve their educational goals.

  • Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition tailored to each learner's individual needs.
  • Teach learners across a range of age groups and abilities, including Primary, Secondary, post-16, and adult learners.
  • Plan and deliver lessons appropriate to each learner's curriculum, qualification, or learning level.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs, including SEND where appropriate.
  • Monitor learner progress and complete session reports after each lesson.
  • Build positive relationships with learners, families, schools, Local Authorities, and partner organisations.
  • Encourage learners to develop confidence, independence, and a positive attitude towards learning.
  • A minimum of two years' UK teaching or tutoring experience.
  • Experience teaching one or more of the following: Primary, Secondary, GCSE, Functional Skills, or SEND.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
  • Excellent communication, behaviour management, and relationship-building skills.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or the ability to travel reliably between tuition locations.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or another recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, dyslexia, and speech and language needs.
  • Experience delivering tuition in pupils' homes or school settings.
  • Knowledge of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
