TP Tutors, part of Teaching Personnel, is recruiting dedicated 1:1 Tutors to support children and young people across Northampton.
Working with Local Authorities and schools, we receive regular referrals for learners who require personalised one-to-one tuition. Once you've completed our compliance process, you'll receive tuition opportunities that match your experience, subject specialism, preferred travel area, and availability.
Tuition takes place during school hours in learners' homes, schools, community settings, or alternative provisions, helping pupils build confidence, re-engage with learning, and achieve their educational goals.

- Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition.
- Teach Primary, Secondary, GCSE, Functional Skills, and/or SEND learners.
- Plan lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum and individual learning goals.
- Adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs.
- Monitor progress and complete session reports.
- Build positive relationships with learners, families, schools, and Local Authorities.
- Encourage confidence, independence, and a positive attitude towards learning.
- Minimum of 2 years' teaching or tutoring experience delivering the UK National Curriculum.
- Experience teaching Primary, Secondary, GCSE, Functional Skills, or SEND.
- Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or the ability to travel reliably.
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
- QTS, PGCE, or another recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience supporting learners with SEND, including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, or speech and language needs.
- Experience delivering tuition in homes, schools, or community settings.
- Knowledge of EHCPs.
