TP Tutors, part of Teaching Personnel, is recruiting dedicated 1:1 Tutors to support children and young people across Towcester and the surrounding areas.
We work closely with Local Authorities (LAs) and schools, receiving regular referrals for pupils who require personalised one-to-one tuition. Once you have successfully completed your compliance checks and are cleared to work, you'll receive tuition opportunities that match your experience, subject specialism, preferred travel area, and availability, giving you the flexibility to choose the assignments that suit you best.
Tuition is delivered during school hours in learners' homes, schools, community settings, or alternative provisions, helping pupils who need additional support to re-engage with learning, build confidence, and achieve their educational goals.

- Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition tailored to each learner's individual needs.
- Teach learners across Primary, Secondary, GCSE, Functional Skills, and SEND where appropriate.
- Plan and deliver lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum and each learner's individual learning goals.
- Adapt teaching methods to support a range of learning needs and abilities.
- Monitor learner progress and complete session reports following each tuition session.
- Build positive relationships with learners, families, schools, Local Authorities, and partner organisations.
- Encourage learners to develop confidence, resilience, independence, and a positive attitude towards learning.
- A minimum of 2 years' teaching or tutoring experience delivering the UK National Curriculum.
- Experience teaching one or more of the following: Primary, Secondary, GCSE, Functional Skills, or SEND.
- Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
- Excellent communication, behaviour management, and relationship-building skills.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or the ability to travel reliably between tuition locations.
- An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the DBS Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or another recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, and speech and language needs.
- Experience delivering tuition in homes, schools, community settings, or alternative provisions.
- Knowledge of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
