TP Tutors, part of Teaching Personnel, is recruiting dedicated 1:1 Tutors to support children and young people across Kettering and the surrounding areas.
We work closely with Local Authorities (LAs) and schools, receiving regular referrals for pupils who require personalised one-to-one tuition. Once you have completed your compliance checks and are cleared to work, you'll receive tuition opportunities that match your experience, subject specialism, location, and availability, giving you the flexibility to choose the assignments that suit you best.
Tuition is delivered during school hours in learners' homes, schools, community settings, or alternative provisions, providing tailored educational support to help pupils overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.

- Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition tailored to each learner's individual needs.
- Plan and deliver lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum and individual learning objectives.
- Support learners across Primary, Secondary, GCSE, Functional Skills, and SEND where appropriate.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of learning needs and abilities.
- Monitor learner progress and complete session reports following each tuition session.
- Build positive relationships with learners, families, schools, and Local Authority representatives.
- Encourage learners to develop confidence, resilience, and a positive attitude towards learning.
- A minimum of 2 years' teaching or tutoring experience delivering the UK National Curriculum.
- Experience teaching one or more of the following: Primary, Secondary, GCSE, Functional Skills, or SEND.
- Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or the ability to travel reliably between tuition locations.
- An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the DBS Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or another recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, and speech and language needs.
- Experience delivering tuition in homes, schools, or alternative education settings.
- Knowledge of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
