Are you an experienced teacher looking for a flexible role where you can make a real difference?

TP Tutors, part of Teaching Personnel, is recruiting experienced 1:1 Tutors to provide personalised tuition to pupils across Birmingham and the surrounding areas. Tuition sessions take place in pupils' homes or school settings during school hours, supporting children and young people who require tailored academic support to achieve their full potential.

This rewarding opportunity involves working with pupils who may be out of mainstream education, have SEND, SEMH needs, medical needs, or require additional intervention to help them re-engage with learning and build confidence.

As a 1:1 Tutor, you will:

• Deliver engaging and personalised one-to-one tuition tailored to each pupil's individual learning needs.
• Plan and adapt lessons in line with the UK National Curriculum.
• Support pupils in improving academic attainment, confidence, and engagement with learning.
• Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress following each tuition session.
• Build positive and professional relationships with pupils, parents/carers, schools, and local authorities.
• Create a safe, supportive, and motivating learning environment that enables every pupil to succeed.

We are looking for candidates who have:

• A minimum of two years' teaching experience in a school or educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.
• The ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual pupil needs.
• A patient, reliable, and flexible approach to supporting learners.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable due to travel between tuition locations.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
