Job Title: 1:1 Tutor (Home & School-Based)
Location: Rushden and surrounding areas
Hours: During school hours (term time only)
Contract: Flexible / Part-time 

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced 1:1 Tutor to support pupils across the Rushden area in both home and school settings. You will deliver personalised learning to help pupils re-engage with education, build confidence, and make meaningful academic progress.

This role is ideal for qualified teachers or experienced education professionals with strong classroom experience and a passion for supporting individual learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition in core subjects (primarily English and Maths, KS1–KS4 depending on placement)
• Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual pupil needs and learning styles
• Deliver sessions in pupils’ homes or school settings during school hours
• Track and report on pupil progress
• Build positive, supportive learning relationships
• Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ teaching experience in a school or educational setting
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
• Experience working with children or young people on a 1:1 or small group basis
• Ability to deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
• Right to work in the UK

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable but not essential.
