Job Title: 1:1 Tutor (Home & School-Based)
Location: Corby and surrounding areas
Hours: During school hours (term time only)
Contract: Flexible / Part-time 


About the Role

We are seeking an experienced 1:1 Tutor to support pupils across the Corby area in both home and school settings. The role involves delivering personalised learning to help pupils re-engage with education, build confidence, and make meaningful academic progress.

This position is ideal for qualified teachers or experienced education professionals with strong classroom experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition in core subjects (mainly English and Maths, KS1–KS4 depending on placement)
  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual pupil needs and learning styles
  • Work flexibly in pupils’ homes or within school settings during school hours
  • Track progress and provide feedback to schools, parents, or professionals
  • Build positive, supportive relationships with learners
  • Maintain safeguarding and child protection standards at all times

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ teaching experience in a school or educational setting
  • Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum
  • Experience working with children or young people on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • Ability to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable but not essential.
