1:1 Tutor – Banbury Area

Location: Banbury and surrounding areas

Hours: Flexible – During School Hours

Pay: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Contract Type: Part-Time / Flexible

We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated 1:1 Tutors to support primary and secondary-aged pupils across Banbury and the surrounding areas.

Working in partnership with local schools, tuition sessions will be delivered on a one-to-one basis in a range of settings, including:

• Pupils' homes
• School settings
• Local libraries

This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who require additional academic assistance, helping them build confidence, improve attainment, and reach their full potential.

• Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition sessions.
• Support pupils in core subjects, including English, Maths, and Science where required.
• Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet individual learning needs.
• Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress.
• Work collaboratively with schools, parents/carers, and other professionals.
• Adhere to safeguarding and compliance requirements at all times.

• Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience within UK .
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
• Experience teaching primary and/or secondary-aged pupils.
• Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Access to reliable transport and willingness to travel within Banbury and surrounding areas.

• Previous tutoring experience.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, EHCPs, or those in alternative provision.
• Ability to teach across multiple key stages and subjects.
• Experience working with pupils who require additional educational support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
