We are currently recruiting experienced and passionate 1:1 Tutors to support pupils in home or school settings across the Cambridge area.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work with children and young people who may require additional educational support due to SEN/SEND needs, SEMH, anxiety, school avoidance, or gaps in learning. The role focuses on helping pupils build confidence, re-engage with education, and achieve positive outcomes through personalised one-to-one support.
- Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition sessions during school hours
- Adapt teaching methods and learning resources to meet individual pupil needs
- Support pupils academically, emotionally, and socially
- Encourage confidence, engagement, and independence in learning
- Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and schools
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate session records
- Provide a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment
- Minimum 2 years teaching experience within the UK
- Experience working with children or young people
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Patient, flexible, and reliable approach
- Ability to work independently and professionally
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Driving licence and access to transport preferred
