Job Title: 1:1 Tutor (Home & School Settings)
Location: Northampton Area
Hours: School Hours (Flexible)
Pay: Competitive (dependent on experience)

About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and passionate 1:1 Tutors to support pupils in both home and school settings across the Northampton area. This role involves delivering personalised, engaging lessons to students who may require additional support outside of a mainstream classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored 1:1 lessons in line with each pupil’s needs and abilities
  • Adapt teaching strategies to support different learning styles
  • Support pupils with SEND, SEMH, or those out of mainstream education
  • Monitor progress and provide regular feedback
  • Liaise with schools, parents, and other professionals

Requirements

  • Experience in tutoring or teaching
  • Good understanding of the UK curriculum
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule

Desirable

  • Teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
  • Experience working with SEN/SEND or vulnerable learners
  • Background in alternative provision or outreach tutoring
