Job Title: 1:1 Tutor (Home or School Setting)
Location: Northampton
Hours: School hours (flexible, typically between 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM)
Pay: Competitive (dependent on experience)

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable 1:1 Tutor to support pupils in the Northampton area. This role involves delivering tailored educational support either in the pupil's home or within a school setting during school hours.

You will work closely with students who may require additional support due to gaps in learning, special educational needs (SEN), or other barriers to education. The role requires patience, creativity, and the ability to build strong, supportive relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition sessions in core subjects (e.g. English, Maths, or other areas as required)
  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs
  • Support pupils' academic progress and confidence
  • Provide feedback and progress reports where required
  • Maintain a safe and professional learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people (teaching, tutoring, or support roles)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate learners on a 1:1 basis
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable:

  • Experience working with SEN or pupils with additional needs
  • Teaching qualification or relevant degree
  • Experience delivering tuition outside of a traditional classroom setting
