Job Title: 1:1 Secondary Tutor (School & Home-Based) - Wellingborough Area
Location: Wellingborough and surrounding areas
Hours: Flexible (during school hours)

About the Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated 1:1 Secondary Tutor to support students across the Wellingborough area, either within school settings or in their home during school hours. This role involves working with secondary-aged pupils who may require additional support to stay engaged with their studies and achieve their academic potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver tailored 1:1 tuition sessions aligned with the secondary curriculum
- Support pupils in subjects such as English, Maths, and/or Science (KS3-KS4)
- Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs and abilities
- Prepare students for GCSEs and assessments where required
- Build strong, positive relationships to encourage confidence and engagement
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback
- Ensure all safeguarding and compliance procedures are followed
Requirements
- Experience working with secondary-aged students (teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of the UK secondary curriculum (KS3-KS4)
- Ability to deliver engaging and structured lessons
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your schedule
Desirable
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or currently completing a PGCE (Secondary)
- Experience supporting SEN pupils or those with additional needs
- Subject specialism in English, Maths, or Science
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
