Job Title: 1:1 Tutor (Primary, Secondary & GCSE - Home & School Settings)
Location: Leicester and surrounding areas
Hours: School hours (flexible)
Contract Type: Part-time / Flexible

About the Role:
We are currently recruiting dedicated and experienced 1:1 Tutors to support pupils across Leicester. This role involves delivering personalised, one-to-one sessions either in the pupil's home or within a school setting during school hours.

You will be working with a mixed age group of primary, secondary, and GCSE students. Many pupils may require additional support, including SEND, SEMH needs, or those currently outside of mainstream education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, tailored lessons to meet individual learning needs
  • Support pupils across primary, secondary, and GCSE levels
  • Deliver core subjects such as English, Maths, and/or Science
  • Prepare students for GCSE examinations where required
  • Adapt teaching strategies to suit a range of abilities and learning styles
  • Build positive, supportive relationships with pupils
  • Track progress and provide regular feedback

Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent, or at least 2 years' UK teaching experience
  • Experience working with primary and/or secondary students, including GCSE level
  • Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum and GCSE requirements
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable:

  • Experience working with SEND and/or SEMH pupils
  • PGCE or other relevant teaching qualification
