Job Title: 1:1 Tutor (Home & School Settings)
Location: Northampton and surrounding areas
Hours: School hours (flexible)
Contract Type: Part-time / Flexible

About the Role:
We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced 1:1 Tutors to support pupils in Northampton. This role involves delivering tailored, individualised learning sessions either in the pupil's home or within a school setting during school hours.

You will work with students who may require additional support, including those with SEND, SEMH needs, or those outside of mainstream education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons aligned with the pupil's needs
  • Support students in core subjects such as English, Maths, and/or Science
  • Adapt teaching strategies to suit individual learning styles and abilities
  • Build positive, supportive relationships with pupils
  • Track progress and provide regular feedback

Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent, or at least 2 years' UK teaching experience
  • Experience working with children or young people (teaching, tutoring, or support roles)
  • Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum
  • Ability to manage behaviour and engage learners effectively
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable:

  • Experience with SEND and/or SEMH students
  • PGCE or other relevant teaching qualification
