Job Title: 1:1 Tutor (Home or School-Based)
Location: Northampton and surrounding areas
Hours: Flexible, during school hours (typically between 8:30am–3:30pm)
Pay: Competitive rates (dependent on experience and qualifications)

About the Role:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Tutors to support pupils in the Northampton area. This role involves delivering personalised education either in a pupil’s home or within a school setting, helping students who may require additional academic support outside of mainstream classroom environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored, engaging lessons aligned with the pupil’s individual needs and abilities
  • Support students with a range of needs, including SEN, SEMH, or those out of mainstream education
  • Plan and adapt lessons to support progress in core subjects (English, Maths, etc.)
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and confidence
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress
  • Work collaboratively with schools, parents, and other professionals where required

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people (teaching, tutoring, or support work)
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • Ability to plan and deliver creative, flexible lessons
  • Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach
  • Relevant qualifications (teaching, tutoring, or degree-level education preferred but not essential)
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable
